Spring 2010 - Saddle Creek, Greenhorn Creek and Micke Grove

.

SIR’s Branch 125 semi-annual golf trip was held at the historic Angel’s Camp area, the home of Mark Twain’s Jumping Frogs, the perfect setting for a golf tournament. We added a new venue for our third day of golf; Micke Grove Links in Lodi.

The accommodations at WorldMark by Wyndham and the golf at Saddle Creek Golf Resort, Greenhorn Creek Resort, and Micke Grove Links were terrific.

Our buffet dinner on Wednesday evening and a sit down dinner on Thursday at Greenhorn Creek Resort were enjoyed by all.

Phil Olavarri was given a special award, “Swinging at 92”, to acknowledge his ongoing participation in our Sirs Golf Tournaments.

Bob Norbutas’ tracking of the scores during this event on his computer is greatly appreciated and we owe him a big “Thank You”. Also a special thanks to Jerry Oliver and Don Reams, our tournament photographers, who captured our special moments.

Neal Atchison and I want to thank all of you who participated in this golf outing in the heart of the Gold Country, and we look forward to our next golf tournament in October 2010.
